Planning and Organising skills enable people to establish a course of action for themselves and others to accomplish specific results. The purpose of this workshop is to develop or expand Planning & Organising skills that support the continual growth and success of the individual, department and the organisation. Participants assess their planning, organising and time management skills; prepare long-range and short-term goals that support the mission of the institution and department; develop measurable objectives to support goal attainment; differentiate between urgent, important, and not urgent action items; and engage in proactive planning.

Participants will learn and practise methods for identifying and prioritising daily tasks, as well as balancing short-term and long-term goals. They will learn to use an array of tools to help them plan and prioritise, which will eventually lead to more control over their daily routine and tasks, and help them gain greater confidence in their daily life.

Time Management for Peak Performance - 1 Day

Research has consistently demonstrated that when clear goals are associated with tasks, effective Time Management occurs more easily and rapidly. In order to manage time efficiently there are a number of skills to learn, understand and practice first.

In order to be productive with time and focus effectively on important tasks people need to identify what prevents them from achieving their goals. This workshop progressively takes participants on a journey of discovery over 7 progressive modules that include practical activities and analysis with feedback so that each participant gains a full understanding of how and why the techniques work.

The workshop aims to address those in an informative and relaxed way through learning, experience and understanding. It encourages practical application through exercises and activities that can be transferred to the workplace and other areas of life easily. By practising the tools and techniques that work effectively to improve Time Management each participant will be able to take away from the training, their own strategies to motivate them and continually improve.
